Thermo™ Nano-Drop 2000

Thermo Scientific™ NanoDrop™ 2000

Thermo Scientific™ NanoDrop™ 2000 microvolume UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, for quantification of DNA, RNA, and protein samples with only 0.5-2 μL sample volume. The sample is pipetted into the sample chamber, where it is held between two optical fibers by surface tension. This enables measurement of sample concentration up to 200 times greater than for samples measured using a standard cuvette system. The full UV-Vis spectrum (190 – 840 nm) can be captured, and an optimal wavelength maximum can then be chosen for quantification.
