The UC San Diego MRSEC aims to increase diversity and inclusion in materials science on our campus. We also support kindred efforts by our research and education partners, and within the greater materials science community. Through our practices, programs, and infrastructure, which span learning, teaching, research, community engagement, and workforce development, we support and promote the academic and professional success of all participants. We work with the intention to develop and sustain a welcoming Center climate and culture in which members of groups previously excluded from science and engineering thrive.
